THE TOPSPEED SPORT-PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT SYSTEM
All across the United States dedicated athletes train everyday to maximize performance, increase self-esteem, gain athletic competence, minimize injuries and ultimately increase their chances of winning.
Topspeed Performance School was founded after Dr Nicholas Sita spent over two decades training the highest level amateur and professional athletes throughout Europe, South America, Australia, Asia and the United States. Dr. Sita served eight years as the Speed, Strength and Conditioning Coach at the U.S. Olympic Training Centers in San Diego and Colorado Springs where he pioneered "Deceleration Training".
Dr Sita noticed that there was a significant difference in how athletes were developed in the United States as opposed to the rest of the world. Athletes in other countries typically do not begin sport-skill-specific training until around age 12. They spent the first 10-12 years working on "general athleticism". American athletes begin empasizing sport-specific skills in their training at about age 6 to 8 while severely neglecting the foundation of sport performance. Decreased activity levels among American children was resulting in increased injury rates, greater numbers of obese and overweight kids, and unpresentented numbers of American children who develop metabolic syndrone or diabetes. Consequently 65% of American children were dropping out of organized sport participation by high school.

Nicholas observed that American athletes usually dropped out of sports for one of three (3) reasons:
- High school was the age at which competition really becomes
serious. Athletes without a proper physical foundation were
getting cut from their teams because, lets facing it, speed
and strength wins.
- Improper technique, insufficient strength and imbalanced
muscular development led to career ending injuries.
- Athletes would become dissatisfied with the prevailing
negative coaching philosophy in American athletics.
Dr Sita believed that, along with sport skills training, if American coaches and parents could be taught to equally emphasize acquisition of the foundation of sport performance (i.e. strength, muscular endurance, power, speed, movement mechanics, balance, agility, quickness, hand and foot-eye coordination, acceleration and deceleration, etc.) in an environment where coaches are taught to use cutting-edge human performance science to prioritize development of self esteem, challenge athletes to overcome adversity and acheive success, and provide specific, individualized, positive (no yelling or put-downs) feedback that American Athletics could produce more confident, competent, healthy, less injury-prone competitors.
The result was a cutting-edge, training system widely recognized as one of the most innovative and effective performance enhancement programs available in the United States today. High School, College, National, Olympic and Professional teams from around the globe are currently using the TopSpeed Performance System to increase performance and decrease injuries!
Now you can help your athlete maximize his or her performance potential in just 5 easy steps!
STEP 1 - EVALUATION
Every person begins our program with a manditory evaluation of movement mechanics, speed, balance, lateral agility, deceleration technique, coordination, core stability, upper and lower body strength, muscular endurance, posture, gait, and flexibility, etc. We ulilize this information to establish a baseline and develop an individualized, sport-specific program prescription to help your athlete achieve his or her goals.
STEP 2 - REVIEW RESULTS
`Immediately after your athlete's initial evaluation, our experts will discuss the results and identify strengths, weaknesses, underlying causes of deficiencies, and help set realistic goals.
STEP 3 - PROGRAM PRESCRIPTION
Parents, athletes and Topspeed staff will sit down with you to explain the best frequency, duration, level, specific classes, days, and times to customize a program that will help maximize performance potential and minimize injury potential!
